Open House Meeting a Sucess
Successful open house meeting–six guests. Lin’s opening inspiration was inventive and tied into the open house theme nicely. Karen’s comments as club pres were welcoming, Lori did an excellent job as Toastmaster of the day, and Carl as Tabletopics Master was energetic and resourceful. Nancy took the TableTopics prize. Two strong presentations, Susan was working on reading to a group, she did a …great job reading Dr. Martin Luther King’s iconic ‘I have a dream,’ speech from the 1963 March on Washington. Tony shared his Toastmaster journey from dreading speaking in public to looking for opportunities to do so.
Next meeting, Groundhog day, Feb 2, Noon to 1:15pm–Stanbaugh Ness 2600 Eastern Blvd., York, PA. Guests are always welcome, lunch is provided.
Jan. 19th Open House Meeting
Our Open House meeting focuses on our guests. The prepared speeches and educational sessions for this meeting reveal how the friendly and supportive Toastmasters program has helped millions overcome their dread of public speaking while improving their leadership skills. It’s the perfect meeting to attend if you’ve ever wondered what Toastmasters was all about. But even if you can’t make our open house at Stanbaugh Ness, 2600 Easter Blvd., York PA, we meet at that location the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Thursday of each month and our experienced club members are always happy to answer all your questions.
